March 21 is the INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR THE ELIMINATION OF RACIAL DISCRIMINATION.  I am very proud to live in a multicultural country like Canada.  I can’t attest that racial discrimination doesn’t exist in this country.  In fact, it still exists.  But I notice that my generation and the younger ones have greater tolerance and respect for diversity.  I want to dedicate this post to help raise awareness of racial discrimination that still exists in many parts of the world and encourage everyone to help cure this disease in our society.  I found a great video created by UNESCO dedicated for this special day.  I urge you to watch the video until the end.  It is absolutely wonderful!

On the occasion of March 21st 2013, the European Coalition of Cities against Racism (ECCAR), created by UNESCO in 2004, launches a sensitization campaign against racism and xenophobia in Europe. In this video, several ECCAR member cities send out a joint message against all forms of discrimination in our cities. (Source:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yG33qh0siAI)

If we join together, we can ultimately eliminate racial discrimination in our society.  We can do this!
